ATHLETIC SPONSORSHIPS

Depending on funding availability, 4 Love of the Game offers Native American athletic teams or individual student/athlete sponsorships to attend national tournaments, camps, and leagues or assists with equipment costs or other special needs. Applicants must be from ages six to 18 and currently enrolled in elementary, middle or high school. Present graduating seniors are eligible.

Applicants must meet certain criteria and submit a completed sponsorship form in order to be considered for assistance by 4 Love of the Board Members. In order for an application to be complete, the following must be performed and submitted:

1. Pursue and exhaust all other areas of funding assistance available.
2. Provide proof of enrollment of a federally recognized tribe.
3. Provide a photo and bio of those requesting assistance.
4. Provide a quote for the amount of assistance requested.
5. Provide receipts for the full amount awarded.
6. Perform volunteer work at a 4 Love of the Game future activity or event

Because of the growing demand and limited amount of funding, individual(s) may only receive assistance once per calendar year. Funding amount per individual is a maximum of $75 or a maximum of $150 per team (at least five must be Native American). In special situations, the amount of funding may be increased only at the discretion of the board members. Once funds have been depleted, sponsorships are not available until more funds become available.

Applicants are required to submit all pertinent receipts to 4 Love of the Game within 30 days of the date assistance was awarded. Those who fail to submit such documentation will be unable to receive future assistance.
