• All participants must be of Native American Descent and provide proof of Tribal enrollment. Those who provide false or forged documentation will be banned from all future 4 Love of the Game events.
• All participants must be currently enrolled in High School Grades 9th-12th and not exceed the age of 19.
• A representative from each team must attend the College Prep Day on March 19, 2008. Only those attending the College Prep Day will receive a backpack. However, because of High School attendance and travel arrangements, exceptions can be made with Tournament Director approval only.
• A coach or team representative must attend the coaches meeting Wednesday, March 19, 2008. However, because of High School attendance and travel arrangements, exceptions can be made with Tournament Director approval only.
• No player can play for more than one team.
• Coaches can only coach one team per division.
• All coaches and players must sign-in at team registration station before the start of first game.
• Only players listed on the final submitted roster will be allowed to play.
• Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their team and must escort and supervise their team at all times. The Madness In March Tournament Committee reserves the right to expel any player, coach, or team from the tournament and/or future tournaments for unacceptable behavior.
• All players on each team must wear jerseys that are matching in color and have a permanently affixed, non-duplicated number on the front or back of jersey.
• Teams should be present fifteen (15) minutes before game time. Each game will begin at the scheduled time unless the previous game overlaps, in which case the game will begin immediately following the completion of the previous game.
• Thursday and Friday’s scheduled games will consist of pool games only. Only the top 16 teams per division will advance to the Sweet 16 Single Elimination Bracket beginning Saturday morning. The Final Four will be played on Sunday.
• All players and coaches must wear their Madness In March Team credentials at all times.
• No jewelry may be worn at any time during the game.
• No profanity is allowed. Players will receive one warning. Violation of this rule will result in a player being suspended for one game.
• No drugs, alcohol, gambling and firearms are prohibited. Violation of this rule will result in an immediate ejection from the tournament.
• Physical violence, especially attacks on a game or tournament official immediately before, during, or after a game or fights/confrontations between players /teams, will result in an indefinite suspension of all present and future tournament play, subject to an annual review if requested.
• NO PERSONAL BASKETBALLS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE GYM. WARM-UP AND GAME BASKETBALLS WILL BE PROVIDED.
