The 7th Annual All-Indian Madness In March Tournament is scheduled to be held March 17-21, 2010 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. The 7th Annual Madness In March field has been extended to 32 boys and 32 girls teams. Last year, fifty-three teams (30 boys and 23 girls teams) made up of High School Indian All-Stars from schools and communities throughout Oklahoma, as well as Iowa, Kansas, Mississippi, Nebraska, Wyoming, and South Dakota competed for the coveted Gold Ball!

The tournament will officially kick off with a College Prep Day on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 The seminar is geared toward preparing our Native American youth for the rigors of college life. Warrior Elite, Day of Champions, and Sterling University will be this year's guests speakers. Wednesday's activities will conclude with either a trip to Oklahoma City to watch the OKC Thunder play or an AND1 tour exhibition basketball game.

The fans' favorite event of the week iss Friday Night's Rising Star Activities complete with 3 Point, Slam Dunk and Coaches' Challenge. Last year, a packed house witnessed the showcase of hardwood skills, including an aerial display by this year’s champion Lane Adams, from Red Oak, Oklahoma. The night will be capped off with a dance.

Teams compete in pool play all day Thursday and Friday morning vying for the #1 seeds in the single elimination tournament that began on Saturday morning. When the dust cleared The Lady Reds, coached by Harold Fox, defeated the very talented and relentless B-Ball Diva’s from Pine Ridge, South Dakota. The Oklahoma Choctaw’s, led by dunk champ Land Adams and sharp shooting Derek Anderson, outlasted the Choctaws from Mississippi, the Chiefs coached by Tim Cumby in last year's championship game. At the formal awards banquet the MVP's, Outstanding Offensive/Defensive Players, Scholarship recipients and selections for the All-West Basketball Classic boys and girls team will be announced.

Last year, a few teams waited until the deadline to submit the necessary information, however, the tournament field was already set and they had to be placed on a waiting list. You can now complete and mail team reservation form, along with a $100 deposit (non-refundable), as soon as possible to guarantee your team a spot. The form and fee will hold you a spot until March 1, 2010. The remaining balance must be paid in full by 5 p.m. on March 1 or your spot will be given to the next available team on the waiting list.
